The State Duma proposed to index the salary of security forces twice a year

On February 22, State Duma deputy from the LDPR faction Kaplan Panes launched an initiative to regularly raise salaries for all law enforcement and law enforcement officials.

"We propose to introduce a guaranteed salary increase twice a year for employees of all law enforcement agencies and law enforcement agencies. It should strictly correspond to the actual inflation rate," Panes said in an interview with RIA Novosti

According to the MP, the existing indexing format is not always effective. He suggested introducing a clearer system.

The politician added that the mechanism he proposes will work like clockwork: every six months, salaries and allowances are recalculated to fully cover inflation. This is not just an additive, but a protection of money from depreciation. Such a measure, in his opinion, will be an important incentive for both experienced personnel and young people.

"Therefore, we insist on legislating semi—annual indexation to the actual level of inflation, and not on one-time and delayed increases," the deputy summed up.

On October 1, 2025, in Russia, the salaries of employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Federal Penitentiary Service, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Rosgvardiya, as well as military personnel were increased by 7.6%. Salaries of employees of the Federal Fire Service, customs, bailiffs and the leadership of the Federal Courier Service have also increased.
