Vitaly Korolev, Acting Governor of the Tver Region, visited the special military operation zone on the eve of Defender of the Fatherland Day. He presented Tver gunners with state and regional awards, the press service of the regional government reports.

Among the awards presented to the soldiers are the Order of Courage, departmental medals of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, badges of the governor "For the benefit of the Tver land", certificates of honor and commendations. "You make our country sovereign and invincible, and by your service you bring Russia closer to Victory every day. Thank you for your honest service and loyalty to your duty," the head of the region emphasized.

Korolev thanked the gunners and their commander, Colonel Ilya Tsvetkov, for their service. He inspected the location of the unit and talked with the servicemen over a cup of tea. The soldiers told about their service and thanked the head of the region and fellow countrymen for their support.

The acting governor handed over to the unit the humanitarian cargo collected taking into account the requests of the military: construction tools, communications equipment and heating systems. In addition, the servicemen received letters and drawings from Tver schoolchildren, cheburashka mascots tied up by parishioners of the Church of the Three Confessors at the initiative of the Committee of Families of Soldiers of the Fatherland, as well as consecrated ceramic icons painted by students of the Tver College of Culture named after N.A. Lvov.
