The forecaster suggested a late melting of the snow cover in Moscow
The snow cover in the capital region this year may melt later than the middle of April. This is later than the average date of the final disappearance of snow, said Mikhail Leus, a leading specialist at the Phobos Weather Center, on February 22.
"Given the height of the current snow cover, 70 cm, it can be assumed that the snowfall this year will definitely be later than the average long—term date, and most likely, close to the latest dates," the forecaster suggested in an interview with RIA Novosti.
