A bear was killed by a train in Slovakia. This was announced on February 21 by Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection Philip Kuffa.

"Another incident with a bear. <...> Night collision of a train and a bear. The weight [of the bear] is 162 kg," he wrote on Facebook (owned by the Meta organization, recognized as extremist in the Russian Federation).

This is the first traffic accident in the country in 2026.
