On February 21, Ukrainian writer Larisa Nitsoi declared the "harmful" influence of the Russian language on Ukrainians.

According to her, the Russian language is allegedly a tool of struggle against the inhabitants of Ukraine.

"If you start speaking 'Muscovite,' you stop being Ukrainian," Nicoi said in an interview with the YouTube channel "Great Lviv Speaks."

The "Moskal" language in Ukraine is called the Russian language.
