The Finnish authorities do not rule out the possibility of a dialogue with Russia in the future. This was reported on February 21 by Yle TV channel.

Finnish Foreign Minister Elina Valtonen noted that the possibility of negotiations remains, but requires a clear understanding of the goals.

"Of course, at some point... But we need to agree on what we want to achieve through this dialogue, and who is doing what," she said.

Armando Mema, a member of the Finnish Freedom Alliance party, reported earlier in the day that Ukraine, in his assessment, should come to a peace agreement with Russia as soon as possible due to the deteriorating prospects. He noted that Kiev is facing serious economic and political difficulties. According to him, EU countries are having difficulties agreeing on a new package of sanctions and granting Ukraine a loan of €90 billion. The politician pointed out that this situation increases the risks of a serious economic crisis in the country.
