Air defense systems destroyed 89 drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in six hours over the territory of Russia. This was announced on February 21 by the Russian Defense Ministry.

"In the period from 14.00 to 20.00 Moscow time, 89 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles of an airplane type were intercepted and destroyed by air defense systems on duty," the department's channel says in the MAX messenger.

It is specified that 61 drones were shot down over the territory of the Bryansk region and another 19 over the Belgorod region. Seven drones were destroyed over the Kursk region, and two over the Kaluga region.

On the same day, it was reported that air defense systems destroyed 31 UAVs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine over the territories of the Russian Federation from 9:00 to 14:00 Moscow time. It was noted that the largest number of 11 were eliminated in the territories of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Belgorod region.
