Since 2026, commercial clinics in India have been prohibited from directly cooperating with Russian assistance companies. Direct contracts with clinics have been blocked, and guarantees of medical care for Russian tourists are now issued differently. This was announced on February 21 by the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR).

The ATOR report notes that the new rules have led to delays in informing insured Russians and have complicated the process of paying medical bills.
