The Supreme Court of the Russian Federation has rejected a cassation appeal against the verdict of singer Eduard Charlotte in the case of the rehabilitation of Nazism and insulting the feelings of believers. This was announced on February 21 by his father Valery Charlotte.

"The cassation appeal was rejected, we don't know the reasons yet," he told RIA Novosti.

The father also noted that the decision to re-file the complaint has not yet been made.

The court rejected the appeal of convicted singer Eduard Charlotte against the decision to transfer him from a penal colony to a general regime institution on February 8. The singer was refused in court on September 12 to be sent to the special military operation zone. It is clarified that the musician's defense requested that he be sent there, but the court refused the lawyers. It was noted that the singer asked to go to the front several times, but each time, for some unknown reason, he changed his mind.

The singer was detained at Pulkovo Airport on November 22, 2023, where he arrived from Yerevan. The artist was sent to Samara. On November 30, three criminal cases were initiated against him — on two counts of rehabilitating Nazism (Part 4 of Article 354.1 of the Criminal Code) and one of insulting the feelings of believers (Article 148 of the Criminal Code). On December 27, 2024, Charlotte was sentenced to 5.5 years for rehabilitating Nazism.
