The FSB of Russia pointed out the danger of Telegram for the military of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation

The Telegram messenger is unsafe for military personnel of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, since Ukrainian special services have access to the information posted there. This was announced on February 21 at the Center for Public Relations of the Federal Security Service (FSB) of the Russian Federation.

"The Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation has reliable data that the armed forces and special services of Ukraine have the opportunity to receive information posted on the Telegram messenger as soon as possible and use it for military purposes," the report said.

The ministry stressed that significant work has been done to study the work of this messenger. It turned out that over the past three months, the use of Telegram by Russian military personnel has repeatedly led to a threat to their lives.

The main target of cybercriminals are defense enterprises and government agencies.

On February 20, the Russian Interior Ministry warned that Telegram used probiva services by foreign call centers. Most often, these are Telegram bots, which can be used to illegally create a "digital portrait" of the victim.

On February 18, the head of the Ministry of Digital Affairs, Maksut Shadaev, explained Roskomnadzor's decision to slow down Telegram. According to him, the messenger ignored 150,000 requests to delete information prohibited in Russia. As a result, the agency decided to slow down the social network due to violations of the legislation of the Russian Federation.
