Tank crews of the Zapad group of forces destroyed facilities and personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

Crews of T-90M "Breakthrough" tanks of the 25th combined arms army of the Zapad group of forces destroyed camouflaged dugouts, control points for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and manpower of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Krasnolimansk area in the special military operation zone. This was announced on February 21 by the press service of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

It is clarified that during the fighting, identified dugouts, observation posts, armored vehicles, fuel and lubricants (fuel) and ammunition depots of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are being destroyed, as well as Ukrainian firing points are being suppressed. At the same time, the destruction of targets occurs quite remotely — outside the line of sight.

During the UAV reconnaissance, camouflaged Ukrainian positions and a significant concentration of their personnel were discovered. The necessary coordinates were transmitted to the tank crew, who moved to the firing position, guided and fired 125-mm high-explosive shells at a distance of about 10 km. As a result of the strike, the targets were successfully hit.

At the end of the fire raid, the tankers performed a maneuver, changing their firing position and thereby ensuring the camouflage of their equipment.

During combat missions, Russian Armed Forces soldiers use standard means of communication that are not linked to various social networks and messengers.

"In the course of completing tasks, we are currently working through another communication channel. <...> And, in principle, we do not use what everyone is talking about now, <...> because the guys in the positions live around the clock. It can simply lead to their death," explained a soldier of the Zapad group of forces with the call sign Banzai.

The day before, the crew of the upgraded TOS-1A Solntsepek heavy flamethrower system of the Guards Regiment of Radiation Chemical and Biological Protection of the Center group of forces prevented a counterattack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Red Army area. The enemy's positions were revealed with the help of reconnaissance drones. After that, the crew of the Solntsepek moved to the deployment area and equipped the firing points necessary to protect against enemy drones. Then a series of volleys of 220 mm thermobaric ammunition was fired, with a range of 20 km.
