WP reported on a clash between protesters and Aliyev's guards in Washington

In Washington, the peace Council ended in a fight between protesters demanding the release of political prisoners in Azerbaijan and the guards of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev. This was reported on February 20 by The Washington Post (WP).

"The case has been referred to the State Department," Tom Lynch, a spokesman for the D.C. Police, was quoted as saying by the newspaper.
