Private Zaverukha destroyed the enemy drones attacking the ACS crew

Private Georgy Zaverukha, a driver, as part of a self-propelled artillery installation (ACS) crew, noticed drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) flying in his direction. The press service of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported on the exploits of Russian servicemen in the special military operation zone on February 21.

Zaverukha was the first to detect the danger and destroyed the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) with a shot from a standard weapon. Another drone appeared next, but it was also destroyed. Then the ACS crew continued to carry out the combat mission and eliminated the artillery crew of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The Russian Defense Ministry also noted the courage of junior Sergeant Egor Mateikin, who led the assault group when the Ukrainian Armed Forces decided to interfere with the Russian military using drones.

Mateikin was able to correctly disperse the military personnel into shelters and organize the destruction of enemy drones. As a result, the group managed to reach the AFU positions and attack suddenly, when the enemy was no longer expecting an assault. The stronghold came under the control of Russian military personnel.
