Vitaly Holdin, a psychiatrist and narcologist, chief freelance specialist at the Ministry of Health of the Moscow Region, warned on Friday, February 20, that alcohol abuse can destroy both mental and physical health.

According to the expert, alcohol allows you not to think about problems for a while, but then you have to pay too high a price for it — the cardiovascular system, brain and liver come under attack.

Holdin added that alcohol destroys the hormonal system, in particular, the level of testosterone decreases, which decreases sexual desire, the Moscow city news agency reports. In addition, ethanol affects the quality of sperm and can ruin the health of both the man and his children.
