In the Tyumen Region, an animal rabies quarantine has been declared in a village in the Kazan Municipal District. The regional government information center reported this on Friday, February 20.

The quarantine applies to a part of Dubynka village. Since February 20, any activity related to animals, including their sale and any other movement, has been prohibited in the territory recognized as unsafe.

According to the <url> news agency, the decree on the introduction of quarantine was signed by the government of the Tyumen region. Since Monday, February 16, similar measures have been taken in the village of Gagarino, Ishim district.

Last week, the news agency writes, rabies quarantine was introduced in 12 municipalities of the region. A total of 24 foci of the disease were recorded at that time.

Since February 4, animal rabies quarantine has also been in effect in part of the village of Masali in the Uporovsky district and the village of Kiev in the Yalutorovsky district.
