Russian IL-114-300 aircraft arrives in Krasnoyarsk

The import-substituted IL-114-300 aircraft arrived in Krasnoyarsk by special flight from Yakutsk. The aircraft is completely assembled from Russian components, the press service of the governor and the regional government reports.

The new aircraft has already been evaluated by the head of the region Mikhail Kotyukov. The authorities are considering aircraft technology as an option for regional transportation. It is assumed that the IL-114-300 will be able to replace the AN-24 and AN-26 aircraft.

"We are one of the first to be ready to take vehicles to transport residents. We are working on the supply issues, as well as the creation of a base for crew training and aircraft maintenance," the governor said.

Certification tests have already been carried out on the aircraft to verify the operability of the systems at low air temperatures.
According to the KrasnoyarskMedia news agency, in March, Il JSC plans to complete the certification of the modification and begin supplying airliners to fleets.

Earlier, Izvestia reported that about 300 obsolete Mi-8 helicopters in Russia could be decommissioned in the next five years. It is impossible to extend their service life indefinitely, and airlines must upgrade their fleets.
