A collapsed UAZ truck with the bodies of tourists was found under the ice of Lake Baikal

A UAZ with people was found at the scene of the tragedy near Cape Khoboy, and the bodies of the victims were seen using underwater cameras. This was announced on February 20 by the Governor of the Irkutsk region Igor Kobzev.

"At the moment, 5 people have been identified, the driver is a 44—year-old local resident and 4 tourists (1 survivor).: a family from China, whose data is preserved in the hotel's database: a married couple, their 14-year-old child and another relative. They all arrived as independent tourists," he wrote on his Telegram channel.
