Russian speed skater Anastasia Semenova will compete at the 2026 Olympics on Saturday, February 21, at 17:50 Moscow time. In September last year, Semenova received a neutral status, which allowed her to participate in international competitions and qualify for the 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy. The competition will be held in Milan.
Earlier, Semenova successfully performed at four stages of the World Cup, earning a total of 95 points and taking 20th place in the ranking. Prior to that, the athlete participated mainly in junior competitions.
Anastasia Semenova was born on November 10, 2004 in Kolomna. In early childhood, she was actively engaged in ballroom dancing, but quickly left them for speed skating and began to train under the guidance of Denis Asfandiyarov. Semenova is currently studying at Tambov State University named after G.R. Derzhavin.
In December 2022, the athlete took part in the Russian-Chinese Youth Games. The skater won four gold and one silver awards, becoming the most decorated participant of the Games. In 2024, the athlete as part of the team won silver in the six-lap race and received two personal bronze medals. In 2025, Anastasia became the champion of Russia in the team race together with Elena Yeranina and Irina Kuznetsova.
