The driver of the car that drowned on Lake Baikal turned out to be Nikolai Dorzheev, a former children's football coach. This was announced on February 20 by a source of Izvestia.

According to his information, the man provided tourist and passenger transport services. However, his trip to the lake was not registered.

Before becoming a driver, the 44-year-old man worked as a children's soccer coach in the village of Khuzhir in the Irkutsk region. In 2015, Dorzheev got a job at the Olkhon Children's and Youth Sports School (DYuSSh).

According to preliminary data, the man had previously been convicted of robbery.
