Choosing a reliable electric generator for a home requires taking into account several parameters. In an interview with Izvestia on February 23, Georgy Tsereteli, head of new product development at Ippon, named three main criteria to be guided by.

"When choosing an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) for a home, first of all, it is necessary to determine which devices you plan to connect and what total power they require," the expert explained, noting that this will allow you to select a power source with sufficient reserve and ensure stable operation of equipment — from lighting to household appliances.

The second important aspect is battery life. Tsereteli noted that the needs may vary significantly depending on the usage scenario. If a reserve is required for short-term tasks, such as boiling water, one battery capacity will do. A more powerful solution will be required to keep your refrigerator or other appliances running for several hours.

The expert stressed that an incorrect assessment of needs can lead either to excessive costs or to a shortage of capacity at a critical moment.

He called the technology of the uninterruptible power supply the third factor. In his opinion, the most stable power supply is provided by online-connected systems. They are highly efficient, but they can create additional noise due to constantly running fans. At the same time, this technology provides high-quality power, which is especially important for sensitive electronics.

The specialist concluded that a comprehensive assessment of power, battery life and technological characteristics will make it possible to choose the optimal solution for the home and reduce the risks of power outages.

Earlier, on January 14, according to a study by HYUNDAI brand experts reviewed by Izvestia, it became known that the demand for multifunctional household appliances in Russia continues to grow — more than half of buyers (55%) consider universal models an excellent way to save space in an apartment. For 15% of respondents living in small apartments, the key factor of comfort is a well-thought-out organization of space and the choice of small-sized appliances with an extended range of functions. Even for 65% of Russians living in two- or three-bedroom apartments, proper planning also plays an important role.
