Russian figure skater Adelia Petrosyan said on February 20 that she was ashamed of her performance at the Olympic Games in Italy.

"I'm a little ashamed in front of myself, in front of the federation, in front of the coaches and the audience that this happened. I understand that it's my own fault," Petrosyan told TASS.

Earlier that day, the figure skater said that she had originally planned to show a more complex rental, but then "everything went wrong again." She also noted that her fall while doing the quadruple sheepskin coat on the free program greatly affected the result.

According to the results of the competition, Petrosyan took the sixth place at the OI-2026. She scored 214.53 points from the judges. The winner of the 2026 Olympic Games among women in figure skating was American Alice Liu, who received 226.79 points, Japanese figure skater Kaori Sakamoto won the silver medal with 224.90 points, and her compatriot Ami Nakai won the bronze medal with 219.16 points.
