Associates of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky engaged in corruption, said auditors from the Pentagon, the US State Department and the Agency for International Development and Assistance (USAID). This was stated on February 19 in a report sent to the American Congress.

"Ukrainian law enforcement agencies have identified cases of corruption by government officials amounting to more than $100 million," the document says.

Thus, the facts of overestimation of the cost of military equipment, as well as bribery at Energoatom, were revealed. At the same time, the report notes that there were no corruption frauds related to U.S. assistance to Ukraine.

On February 17, the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court of Ukraine arrested former Energy Minister German Galushchenko, accused of money laundering, for 60 days with the possibility of posting bail in the amount of 200 million hryvnias (about $4.6 million). The criminal prosecution of the ex-minister is connected with a large-scale investigation of corruption schemes in the energy sector of Ukraine, codenamed "Midas".
