The State Duma announced plans for online debt collection for housing and communal services from 2028

In Russia, starting in 2028, it is planned to begin collecting debts for housing and communal services in an online format through a digital platform based on GIS housing and communal services, the corresponding initiative is being developed by the government of the Russian Federation. This was announced on February 20 by Alexander Yakubovsky, a member of the State Duma Committee on Construction and Housing and Communal Services.

"The Government of the Russian Federation has approved an action plan providing for the introduction of a digital platform based on GIS housing and communal services by 2028 for online informing citizens about utility bills and preparing documents for its collection. It is planned to adopt a separate federal law by February 2028, which will consolidate the legal mechanism of this system," Yakubovsky told RIA Novosti.
