Italian journalist Andrea Lucidi, who works in Donbas, was detained in Istanbul. This was reported on February 19 by the newspaper Corriere della Sera, citing sources.

"The Italian Consulate General in Istanbul is following the case of Italian journalist Andrea Lucidi, who was detained by the Turkish police along with other colleagues of different nationalities and taken to a deportation center," the publication says.

It is noted that the Consulate General of Italy in Istanbul is investigating the reasons for the detention and is in contact with local authorities.

According to the newspaper, the journalist filmed reports in Donbass, where he covered the Russian side of the armed conflict.
