Unknown persons sprayed tear gas at an elementary school in the city of Hurth in western Germany. As a result, 19 children were injured, of whom 12 were taken to the hospital. This was reported on February 19 by the Suddeutsche Zeitung newspaper.
It is specified that the incident occurred at about 10:20 local time (12:20 Moscow time). The victims complained of dizziness, eye irritation, and coughing.
The police cordoned off the building and evacuated people, and an investigation is underway, the publication noted.
