The car expert spoke about the need to prepare the car for snowy weather
Alexander Lytkin, chief expert of the National Council for Driver Training and Testing, said on Thursday, February 19, that winter road safety begins long before departure.
According to the expert, many people save on small things, which leads to tragedies.
"The winter period includes the appropriate preparation of the car: replacement of fluids for winter, high-quality rubber, brushes, wipers. My sympathy goes out to those who didn't do it. They save on water, fill it up, and eventually it freezes, and it gets even worse. The driver must be prepared for any eventuality, because 90% of accidents happen precisely because of a person," Lytkin explained, he said in an interview with Radio 1.
The specialist added that in such weather it is better not to get behind the wheel of a car, but to use public transport.
