Construction of a new substation for the power supply of new and existing houses in the Snowfall has begun in Vladivostok. This is reported by the city administration with reference to the press service of the regional government.

The power engineers have already prepared the site for the future substation and started laying the foundation. JSC Far Eastern Distribution Grid Company also purchased various equipment, including two transformers.

According to PrimaMedia news agency, the capacity of the Snegovaya substation will be 5 megawatts. It will provide electricity to an actively developing neighborhood.

"The facility will provide electricity not only to inhabited houses, social institutions, but also to future buildings," the Energy Ministry said.

In addition, the power engineers will lay a 7 km cable line to the substation. The construction is scheduled to be fully completed by the end of 2026.

Earlier this month, it was reported that Vladivostok had identified a contractor to complete the construction of a new sports and recreation complex in the Snegovaya Pad area. The contract was signed on February 12 with DVK-DORSTROY LLC without bidding, its value was 3.378 billion rubles.
