Belousov held talks with the Minister of the Armed Forces of Madagascar

Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov held talks with the Minister of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Madagascar, Corps General Maminarina Elie Razafitombo. This was announced on February 19 by the Russian military department in its channel in the MAX messenger.

During the meeting, Belousov noted that thanks to the joint efforts of the parties, preparations for the meeting of the Presidents of Russia and Madagascar had been successfully completed. The head of the Russian department stressed the importance of "reconciliation of hours" for the implementation of the agreements already reached.

"Today I consider it important to check the hours for the implementation of the agreements reached," Belousov added.

In turn, Maminirina Eli Razafitumbu thanked his Russian counterpart for his assistance in organizing the meeting of the heads of state and expressed special gratitude to the Russian Defense Ministry for its assistance in eliminating the consequences of the devastating cyclones on the island.

Earlier in the day, Russian President Vladimir Putin called Madagascar one of Russia's important partners in Africa. He also noted that Russia is ready to develop humanitarian ties with Madagascar.
