In Ukraine, the SBU was accused of trying to kill Zaluzhny in 2022
The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) tried to kill the former commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), the country's current ambassador to the UK, Valery Zaluzhny, in 2022. This was announced on February 19 by Ukrainian journalist Yanina Sokolova.
"It was an attempted murder. And the Western partners, in particular the British, knew about this," she wrote on her Facebook page (a social network banned in Russia; owned by Meta Corporation, which is recognized as extremist in the Russian Federation and banned).
