Putin recalled the words of Alexander III when describing the decisions of the supreme courts of the Russian Federation.

On February 19, Russian President Vladimir Putin, speaking about the decisions made by the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation and the Russian Constitutional Court, resorted to quoting Russian Emperor Alexander III the Peacemaker.

"I would remember another of our monarchs, Emperor Alexander III, who once said: 'Whatever you do, they will make the highest command out of everything,'" RIA Novosti quoted him as saying at a meeting with judges of courts of general jurisdiction, arbitration and military courts.
