Sweden has provided Ukraine with a new military aid package worth about $1.5 billion.
Sweden has announced a new military aid package for Ukraine in the amount of 12.9 billion crowns ($1.42 billion). This was reported on February 19 by the Reuters news agency, citing a statement by the country's Defense Minister, Paul Johnson.
It is noted that the package will include air defense systems, drones, as well as long-range missiles.
At the same time, Jonson noted that the total amount of Swedish military support to the Ukrainian side from 2022 is 103 billion Swedish kronor ($11.3 billion).
Last August, the Swedish Ministry of Defense also announced the allocation of $275 million to Ukraine as part of a new defense support package for the purchase of weapons from the United States. The aid package included air defense systems, missiles for the Patriot anti-aircraft missile system, anti-tank weapons, as well as ammunition and spare parts.
