Olympic champion Evgeny Ustyugov will not be able to attend the Russian Ski Championships. This was announced on February 19 by Elena Vyalbe, President of the Russian Ski Racing Federation.

"Sergey Ustyugov will not be at the Russian Championship. As for the rest, I cannot say who is in what form, as the athletes have not competed for a month," she told TASS.

The Russian Championship will be held from February 25 to March 8 in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, Sport-Express adds.

Ski Classics Director Oscar Sverd announced on January 30 that three-time Olympic champion in cross-country skiing Alexander Bolshunov was excluded from the Sudtirol Moonlight Classic race in Italy, as he does not have a neutral status. Initially, the athlete was listed under the flag of Kazakhstan, but his name disappeared from the list.
