Russians were told about the impact of three days off on February 23rd on wages
Russians will rest for three days due to the celebration of Defender of the Fatherland Day - from February 21 to 23. Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor at the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation Igor Balynin told on Thursday, February 19, how this will affect salaries.
"If an employee has worked in full for the entire month, then the amount of remuneration for the full month will not be affected by a change in the number of working days/ weekends/ holidays in the corresponding month. Wages are paid based on the days worked in proportion to the number of working days per month," Balynin explained in a conversation with aif.ru .
The upcoming working week will be four days due to the celebration of Defender of the Fatherland Day, RT reports. In 2026, Russians will have 118 days of rest.
Yesterday, Sergey Muravyov, HR Director at KROS, said that Russians can significantly extend their holidays over the coming holidays by taking a few days off.
The expert recalled that in 2025, the holidays are from February 21 to 23 and from March 7 to March 9. According to him, the most profitable option is to arrange four vacation days immediately after the February weekend.
