Russia will achieve peace and ensure its security. This was announced on February 19 by Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev during a working trip to the Sverdlovsk region.

"We will achieve peace and ensure the security of our state," RIA Novosti quoted Medvedev as saying.

He added that Russia's goal in a special military operation is to ensure security for decades to come, as well as to eliminate the threat of war.

Medvedev noted that Russia supports the negotiations, but will not achieve its goals.

On February 15, American military analyst Andrei Martianov said that Russia's victory in the conflict in Ukraine became inevitable back in 2023. He also noted that after the conflict ends, Western leaders will begin to look for those responsible for their failures, blaming others and hiding their own responsibility.

On February 1, Medvedev announced that Russia's military victory in the special operation was already visible in a number of parameters. According to him, it is also necessary to think about what will happen after that. He noted that the goal of victory is to prevent new conflicts.

On January 16, the commander of the Zapad group of forces, Sergey Kuzovlev, reported to Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov that the military personnel of his units were advancing in all four directions of their work with a common front of more than 320 km. Kuzovlev reported that in December, the forces of the "West" had taken control of six settlements.
