Mosgortrans has started testing a charging station with an inverted pantograph. As reported by the capital's deptrans in its Telegram channel on February 19, such an innovative method is planned to be used to charge equipment for future deliveries.

Deptrans explained that switching to inverted-type pantographs will simplify the charging process, since there is no need to install complex devices to receive a charge. The production of electric buses will become easier and more reliable, they noted.

As part of the tests on the roof of the A5 generation electric bus, the current charger was replaced with contact rails. When approaching the charging station, the inverted pantograph is lowered at the driver's command and connected to the current-receiving contact rails on the roof of the electric bus.

According to Maxim Liksutov, Moscow's Deputy Mayor for Transport, testing of the new technology will last three months.

Earlier, on February 3, it was reported that the Murommashzavod enterprise in the Vladimir region launched the production of steering rails with an electric booster for Aurus cars and electric gantry bridges for KamAZ electric buses. The total investment in the creation of a new production facility exceeded 2.2 billion rubles, of which 1.75 billion was provided by the Federal Fund for Industrial Development.

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
