Russian Railways announced the imminent sale of the Rizhsky railway station
Rizhsky Railway Station and the area it occupies in Moscow will soon be put up for sale. This was announced on February 19 by Ekaterina Krivosheeva, Deputy head of the Russian Railways State transport and logistics company.
"I really hope that the Rizhsky railway station, <...> it will be sold at auction in the near future, and the adjacent territory to it, of course," RIA Novosti quoted her as saying during a speech at the conference "Russian Railways Corporate Property: a resource for urban development."
The corresponding decision, as the representative of the company specified, will allow both to develop the city itself and to contribute to the history of railway communication. The potentially ready-to-sell building is, as she added, a unique cultural heritage site. Krivosheeva noted that the area where the station is located requires renovation.
Information about the approval by the Government of the Russian Federation of the sale of the Rizhsky Railway Station building on February 13 was published on the website of the official Internet portal of legal information. It was noted that the initiative was proposed by Russian Railways jointly with the Ministries of Finance and Transport of the Russian Federation. Then it was emphasized that the object is a regional heritage. The price for which the building will be offered will be equal to the market price, the step must be determined by an independent appraiser.
