Cybersubbots for video game developers and fans to start in Moscow
The Moscow Cluster of Video Games and Animation, operating on the basis of the Skolkovo Innovation Center, is launching a new series of events, Cybersubbots. These are monthly meetings that bring together industry professionals and anyone interested in creating and developing video games. This was told by Deputy Mayor of Moscow Natalia Sergunina.
The first event will be held on February 21. The program includes testing of new products from cluster residents, competitions with a prize pool, as well as educational activities.
"VR quests, expert lectures, and master classes are waiting for visitors. For example, you can come up with a character design, get acquainted with the process of creating an open world in video games, and learn about career prospects in the industry," said Sergunina.
Teachers of MIREA, the Russian University of Technology, the HSE School of Design, well—known streamers, HR specialists and art directors of large companies are invited to participate. The next meeting is scheduled for the end of March, and in April and May, the project will host Open Days for students, during which participants will learn how the resident studios work.
Registration for the events is open on the official website of the cluster.
The Moscow Cluster of Video Games and Animation, the first stage of the new creative cluster at Skolkovo, was launched in November 2025. It represents a full—cycle ecosystem — from the idea to the export of the finished product. It has motion capture and sound recording studios, a high-resolution cinema, a lecture hall, an esports arena and exhibition spaces. Currently, 52 companies are among the residents, including 44 video game and eight animation studios.
