GAZ has developed a new vehicle for delivery services
Gorky Automobile Plant (GAZ) has developed a new model for delivery services. The Gazelle Logistics model became the first low-floor cargo van in the Russian Federation with a multifunctional cargo compartment. The car has been put into test operation by a large network of home appliance stores, and it will deliver orders to customers in Nizhny Novgorod within three months. This is stated in the message of the press service of GAZ, which was received by Izvestia.
According to the chassis with a stepped frame and a frame-panel body, Gazelle Logistics is unified with the Gazelle City production bus. The transformable cargo hold is equipped with folding racks for boxes and parcels, as well as horizontal and vertical rigging rails with adjustable rings for bulky items.
The double cabin is separated from the cargo compartment by a blind partition with a sliding door. The forwarder can move from the cabin to the cargo hold and go outside with the parcel through either of the two automatic doors, closing them by pressing a button on the remote control. The light in the cargo area turns on automatically due to the motion sensor. All exterior body panels are made of polymer composite materials.
It is noted that even one person can carry out the work on the delivery of bulky goods due to the small height of the floor, the retractable ramp of the cargo compartment and the included transport trolley. The car has an all-round viewing system, an air suspension at the rear, air conditioning, sockets, USB ports and wireless charging for a smartphone. The model is equipped with a Euro-5 G51A diesel engine (149 hp, 330 Nm) and can carry up to 1,200 kg of cargo.
The Gazelle NN and Gazelle Next family of cars has received an expanded factory color palette. As specified on February 16, cars are now being painted in a new silver-blue shade of Silver Blue.
