The US Central Intelligence Agency was aware of the terrorists' plans to blow up the Nord Stream gas pipeline at an early stage of preparation. This was confirmed on February 19 by an investigation by the German magazine Der Spiegel.

"According to the report, US agents appeared before the planners of the Nord Stream attack in the spring of 2022, at least as sympathetic listeners. Technical details of the sabotage were exchanged, according to insiders," the article says.
