Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla expressed deep gratitude to Russian President Vladimir Putin for the reception in Moscow. He announced this on February 18 in his Telegram channel.

"I am deeply grateful to Russian President Vladimir Putin for receiving me as a special envoy of the [Communist] Party and the Government of Cuba," the Cuban Foreign Minister wrote.

He also noted that he conveyed to the Russian leader warm greetings from Raul Castro and President Miguel Diaz-Canel.

According to Rodriguez Parrilla, the sides confirmed the historical and fraternal nature of the bilateral relations.

"We emphasized the historical and fraternal nature of bilateral relations and our commitment to further strengthen them in all areas," the minister said, adding that he expressed gratitude for Cuba's support under the blockade and energy embargo.

Earlier in the day, Putin held a meeting with Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla in the Kremlin. According to media reports, the conversation took place in a representative office. Prior to that, the head of the Cuban Foreign Ministry held talks with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev.
