On February 18, the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Georgy Tikhy, sharply criticized Budapest. The reason was the decision of the Hungarian authorities to suspend the export of diesel fuel to Ukraine.

Tikhy said that the Hungarian government allegedly deviates from European policy and "wants to remain dependent on Russian oil and gas."
