Representatives of the 1st Artillery Brigade of the Polish Army have begun military exercises using a South Korean self-propelled artillery system (ACS) model K9 Thunder. This was reported on February 17 in the press service of the General Command of the republic.

"We are starting the new week with a smile — fire control training for the 1st Artillery Brigade at the Ground Forces training ground. <...> The [model] K9 guns fired accurately," the ministry said on its page on the social network X (formerly. Twitter).

They also clarified that the military personnel involved in the training had practiced shooting skills, combat missions, and tried their hand at teamwork.

According to Interfax, military events were held near the Kaliningrad region. The military personnel were gathered, as noted, at the training center of the ground forces, which is located in the city of Ozhish. This entity is also located at the intersection of national highways leading to the border with Belarus.

On February 11, The National Interest (TNI) magazine learned about the plans of Poland and Lithuania to create a common training ground in the Suwalki corridor near the Kaliningrad region. According to the idea, the new facility will be located in the city of Kapchamestis, which is located about 10 km from the border with Belarus.
