Insurers have included public transport and trucks in the red zone

Public transport and trucks, as well as mopeds and scooters, are the most "risky" modes of transport for insurance companies. They entered the "red zone" in the CTP segment. This was reported on February 18 in the Telegram channel of the National Insurance Information System (NSIS).

According to the results of last year, the level of CTP payments in the amount of 94.97% accounted for cars weighing more than 3.5 tons. Thus, the insurance premium amounted to 24.5 billion rubles, and the total amount of payments reached 23.26 billion rubles.

The most popular mode of transport is cars weighing less than 3.5 tons (50.56 million policies, 92.94% of all), balancing at a loss rate of 81.28%. Premiums for them amounted to 292.8 billion rubles, and payments — 237.99 billion rubles. Buses showed an unprofitability of 116.07%. Fees for this category of transport amounted to 4.78 billion rubles, payments — 5.55 billion rubles. 397 thousand policies were sold in this category, or 0.73% of the total volume.

For trolleybuses, the loss rate reached 201.74% (86 million rubles of premium with 173.5 million rubles of payments). The level of payments in the tram segment significantly exceeded the critical mark and reached 164.29% (47.5 million rubles of fees against 78 million rubles of payments), the NSIS said. The highest level of payments was recorded among mopeds and scooters up to 50 cubic meters — 577.31% (5.78 million rubles were collected, 33.38 million rubles were paid).

Experts noted the lowest unprofitability in the motorcycle segment (41.07%). The amount of premiums collected on them reached 1.14 billion rubles, and payments totaled 469.7 million rubles. Self—propelled vehicles also entered the low-loss category (47.52%) - 1.26 billion rubles were collected and 599 million rubles were paid.
