Ibragim Pasha Sadikov, a veteran of the Great Patriotic War (WWII), Hero of Russia, died at the age of 103. This was announced on February 18 by the head of the Rutulsky district of Dagestan, Davud Suleymanov.

"He will forever remain in the memory of his countrymen as a man of exceptional courage, honor and selfless service to the Fatherland," Suleymanov wrote on his Telegram channel, expressing condolences to the family and friends of the veteran.

Ibrahim Pasha Sadikov was born on January 12, 1924 in the village of Rutul. In 1941, he volunteered for the front. He participated in the Battle of Stalingrad and the Battle of Kursk, liberated Warsaw. He was repeatedly wounded.

For his heroism, he was awarded the Orders of Glory II and III degrees, the Patriotic War I degree and the medal "For Courage". In May 2024, Russian President Vladimir Putin awarded him the Golden Star of the Hero of Russia.
