Russian skier Daria Nepryaeva competed in the 50 km classic mass start at the 2026 Olympic Games in Italy on Sunday, February 22. She overcame 8 minutes 55.2 seconds behind the leader and took 11th place. The Russian athlete competed in a neutral status, without national symbols.
The winner of the race was Sweden's Ebba Andersson, who covered the 50 km distance in 2 hours, 16 minutes, 28.2 seconds. Norway's Heidi Weng took second place (2 minutes 15.3 seconds behind), Switzerland's Nadia Kelin took third place (6 minutes 41.5 seconds behind).
This start was the final one for Nepryaeva at the 2026 Olympics. Earlier, she took 21st place in the 10 km freestyle race on February 12 with a score of 24 minutes and 45 seconds. Daria Nepryaeva was born on May 18, 2002 in Tver. At the age of 23, she is a two-time Russian champion, world junior champion (2022), winner of the Russian Cup of the 2024/25 season, a medalist and winner of the stages of the Cup of Russia.
In the 2025/26 season, the athlete showed stable results at international competitions: she took 10th place in the overall standings of the Tour de Ski, became the eighth in the 5 km freestyle mass start in Toblach, showed the 16th result in the 10 km classic in Oberhof and took the eighth place in the mass start at 20 km classic style in Swiss Homs.
