An investment fund of 30 billion rubles for "special projects" will appear in Russia

A new investment fund of up to 30 billion rubles will be created in Russia, which will focus on investments in domestic assets within the framework of "special projects". This was announced by Alexander Fine, CEO of A1 Investment company. Alfa-Bank and Alfa-Capital have confirmed the creation of the fund.

Alfa-Capital and Alfa-Bank participated in the project with the participation of A1 experts. According to A1 CEO, Alfa-Bank will assume the role of anchor investor, and Alfa-Capital will assume the asset management functions. A1 is engaged as an expert to search, select and manage complex cases, including dispute resolution and subsequent monetization of investment properties.

The head of A1 explained that the fund's capital will allow participants to enter larger market segments. Investors will be offered a product that combines specific risks and unique financial opportunities. In addition, the funds of the structure will be used to buy out shares from owners who have decided to move away from business management. Fine also did not rule out that the fund could participate in the acquisition of Western assets.
