The Second Eastern District Military Court of Novosibirsk sentenced two teenagers to 7 and 7.5 years in prison for setting fire to an Mi-8 military aircraft at an airbase in Omsk in 2024. This was announced on February 18 by Irina Rusnak, the official representative of the Federal Security Service of Russia for the Omsk region.

"By the verdict of the Second Eastern District Military Court, the defendants were found guilty of committing a crime under Part 2 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code of Russia ("Commission of a terrorist act by a group of persons by prior agreement")," she said.
