Russians can significantly extend their holidays over the coming holidays by taking just a few days off. This was announced on February 18 by Sergey Muravyov, HR Director of KROS.

The expert recalled that in 2025, the holidays are from February 21 to 23 and from March 7 to March 9. According to him, the most profitable option is to arrange four vacation days immediately after the February weekend.

"The most advantageous format in terms of duration is to take four days off. In February, it's the 24th-27th. Then we will be able to rest for nine days — from February 21 to March 1," Muravyov explained to the Prime agency.

He also noted that a similar scheme can be used in March or combine the February and March holidays for a longer rest.

"About 10-15% of employees actively use the opportunity to rest longer with minimal vacation time," the specialist added.

Irina Shulzhenko, Deputy Director of the Roskachestvo Organizational Development Department, reported on February 13 that employees who combine work with studies at accredited colleges and universities have the right to study leave. According to her, the payment for such leave depends on the form of study — in full-time it is not paid, and in full-time and part-time the employee retains the average earnings. The expert clarified that paid study leave is provided only when receiving education for the first time at the appropriate level. The duration of such leave can range from 30 to 50 calendar days per year, and up to four months in preparation for graduation work.
