Many of the predictions of Russian President Vladimir Putin, voiced by him during his speech at the Munich Conference in 2007, have been confirmed over time. This was reported on February 17 by the Advance edition.

"If we compare this speech with current publications and analysis, it becomes obvious how much Europe's position has changed — in fact, it has come closer to a number of theses that Putin expressed two decades ago. Moreover, it seems that some European leaders are repeating his words today," RIA Novosti quoted the article as saying.

As an example, the statements of German Chancellor Friedrich Merz and French President Emmanuel Macron were cited, who are now openly talking about the need to reduce Europe's dependence on the United States in the field of security.
