The government has approved the conditions for calculating the length of service for the participants of the SVO in the border region

Participation in combat operations in the Belgorod, Bryansk and Kursk regions during a special military operation (SVO), starting from the end of December 2025, will be counted in the length of service in the equivalent of one day to three. This is evidenced by the order published on February 17 on the official Internet portal of legal information.

"The time of direct participation in hostilities in the specified territories as part of formations, military units, administrative bodies and territorial bodies is determined by the orders of the commanders and heads of units of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and the troops of the National Guard of the Russian Federation," the document says.

The solution will speed up the calculation of seniority and related social benefits for fighters in the CBO zone.
